RESO CC 11/23/1971 - Authorizing Notice of Bond Sale RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NOTICE
OF SALE OF BONDS
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Huntsville ,
Texas , deem it advisable to sell the $600 ,000 General Obligation
Bonds which were voted in an election held in the City on the
5th day of October, 1971 ; and
WHEREAS , the City Council wishes to authorize the Mayor
and the City ' s financial advisors to give notice of the sale
of said $600 ,000 General Obligation Bonds ; Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS :
Section l :
That W. Ben Blalock, Jr . , Mayor of the City of Huntsville
working in conjunction with Rowles , Winston & Co . , Inc . , the
City ' s financial advisors , is hereby authorized and directed
to give notice of the City ' s intention to sell $600 ,000 General
Obligation Bonds , Series 1971-, to be dated, to mature and to
be payable at the times and places and upon said other terms
and conditions as the Mayor and Rowles , Winston & Co . , Inc . ,
deem appropriate . Said bonds shall be sold at a time and place
to be determined by the Mayor and Rowles , Winston & Co . , Inc .
Section 2 :
That notice of said sale shall be given by publishing
at least once in a publication carrying municipal bond notices
and devoted primarily to financial news , and by publishing
at least once in the official newspaper of the City , such

publications to be made at least thirty (30) days prior to
such sale .

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF SALE OF BONDS
was duly introduced for the consideration of said City Council and read
in full . It was then duly moved and seconded that said resolution be
adopted; and, after due discussion, said motion, carrying with it the
adoption of said resolution, prevailed and carried by the following vote :
AYES : All members of said City Council shown present above voted
"Aye . "
NAYS: None .
2: That a true , full and correct copy of the aforesaid resolution
adopted at the meeting described in the above and foregoing paragraph is
attached to and follows this certificate ; that said resolution has been
duly recorded in said City Council ' s minutes of said meeting; that the
persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are the duly chosen,
qualified and acting officers and members of said City Council as indi-
cated therein; that each of the officers and members of said City Council
was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally, in advance,
of the time, place and purpose of the aforesaid meeting, and that said
resolution would be introduced and considered for adoption at said
meeting, and each of said officers and members consented, in advance ,
to the holding of such meeting for such purpose; that said meeting was
open to the public as required by law; and that public notice of the time ,
place and subject of said meeting was given as required by Vernon 's
