CHARGES-PRESCRIBED, OF CHAPTER 9, GARBAGE AND
REFUSE, IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
SECTION 9-4, COLLECTION CHARGES-PRESCRIBED OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS IS HEREBY
AMENDED TO BECOME EFFECTIVE AS FOLLOWS.
I.
Section 9-4. Collection Charges-Prescribed. There shall
be charged, assessed and collected from the owner or occupants
of each residential unit within the city limits of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, for collection of garbage and refuse by the
City, the sum of $1. 75 from each residence;for apartment build-
ings there shall be charged, assessed and collected the sum of
$1. 75 for the first apartment and $1.20 for each additional
apartment, for which the owner of the property or lessee thereof
on which said such apartment building is located shall be
responsible for the payment; there shall be charged, assessed and
collected from each business house the sum of $2.35 per month,
to be increased according to the amount of garbage and refuse
collected. Business house accounts now on the books of the City
of Huntsville shall be increased 16.66 per cent charged to the
nearest $0.05, this being the percentage of increase for residences.
II.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with, or to the extent of such conflict are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
