An ordinance prohibiting the sale and discharge of torpedoes, rockets and other fireworks
within the City of Huntsville, assessing the penalty not in excess of $100.00 for violation
thereof, ropealin° all ordinances in conflict therewith and deolaring; an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CJUNCIL ')F THE CITY OF IiUM3-JLLE, TEX_'�Ss
SECTION It No person, firm, co:snpny, corporation or association shall cast, throw or fire
any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo, „renade or toner combustible fireworks of and kind in
the City of Huntsville.
SECTION 2s No person, fira, company, corporation or association shall exhibit or have in his
possession, with intent to give away or sell or offer for sale or sell$ within the City of
Huntsville, any squib, rocket, cracker, torpedo or grenade, or other combustible fireworks
of any kind in the City of I'Iuntsville.
SECTION 3s Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to apply to the sale, storage or use
of railroad track torpedoes, or other signalling devices usad ar railroads, nor to t]-'e sale
storage or use cif flashlight composition by photographers cr daalors in photo7ranhlo supplies.
SECTION 41 Any person, firm, corporation, company or association who shall violate any of Al'f
the provisions of this crdinance, or suffer or allow the ssne to be violated, shall upon i.
conviction therefor be subject to a fine of not r.:ore than One Eundred 0100.00} Dollars.
SECTION 51 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict tl:erevrich are hereby repeaaled.
SECTION 6s In view of the fact t?.at this ordinance is necessary for the iMediate proteo-
tion and preservation of the public healtk, safety and generrl welfare, it becomes necessary
that this ordinance shall be in full force and affect immediately from and after its pass-
age, and it is a000rdingly so ordained.
