ORD CC 1980-54 - Parking Prohibitions• • ORDINANCE NO. 80 -54 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF AVENUE N FROM 14TH STREET TO A POINT 100 FEET SOUTH; ON THE EAST SIDE OF AVENUE N BETWEEN 13TH AND 15TH STREETS; ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 14TH STREET BETWEEN AVENUES M AND N; ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 11TH STREET AT HIGHWAY 75; ON THE EAST SIDE OF AVENUE 0 FROM 17TH STREET TO A POINT 50 FEET SOUTH; ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 20TH STREET FROM SAM HOUSTON TO AVENUE N; AND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 19TH STREET FROM SAM HOUSTON AVENUE TO A POINT 75 FEET WEST; MAKING VARIOUS PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; PROVIDING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF $200.00; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1: The following areas are hereby designated as no parking zones: the West side of Avenue N from 14th Street to a point 100 feet South the East side of Avenue N between 13th and 15th Streets; the South side of 14th Street between Avenues M and N; the North side of llth Street at Highway 75; the East side of Avenue 0 from 17th Street to a point 50 feet South; the South side of 20th Street from Sam Houston to Avenue N; the North side of 19th Street from Sam Houston Avenue to a point 75 feet West. Section 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to post proper signs along the above described locations. Section 3: A person commits an offense if he stops, stands or parks a vehicle in the areas designated no parking. Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are repealed, but only to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 5: Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars, and each vio- lation shall constitute a separate offense. • • Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by City Council. The City Secretary is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Huntsville at least twice within ten (10) days after its passage.
