Proc. 2020-08 - Amaya Marie Johnson Day - 11/3/2019 P roclamation N0. 2020-08 WHEREAS Amaya Marie Johnson is a playful 2-year-old resident of Huntsville, living with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer; and WHEREAS Amaya is a very strong child who loves doing everything that a 2-year-old does, having been diagnosed at the age of 1, and continues to undergo treatment today; and WHEREAS she is very loved by her entire family, including her parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving grandparents, as well as being the little sister of her big brother Darren and a big sister to Ky'Rie; and WHEREAS Amaya has spent most of her life in a hospital bed but hasn't let that dampened her spirit to keep a beautiful smile on her face, while she enjoys her favorite childhood characters - Peppa Pig, Frozen, Paw Patrol and Minnie Mouse during her trials. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that: November 3rd, 2019 be declared: AMAYA MARIE JOHNSON DAY in Huntsville, Texas, and encourage all citizens to honor this great example of a woman.
