Declaration of Respect
for
Clinton Grover
WHEREAS Rev. Bobby Rigsby Sr. was a native of Huntsville, a powerful
linebacker for the Hornets and played in the semipro football league in Huntsville,
but was best-known for his work as the Pastor of the New Life Church, where he
laid a strong foundation in the community; and
WHEREAS Rev. Rigsby owned and operated his own logging business before
joining the City of Huntsville, where he worked for over 20 years driving trucks.
He was married with four boys, also fostering children with his wife for 15 years.
He shared his love of all sports with everyone but was a TRUE Dallas Cowboys
fan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY DECLARED, by the power vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that the loss sustained by the passing of
Rev. Bobby Rigsby Sr. is reverently and solemnly observed, and we hereby express
sympathy and offer condolences to his family, on this, the 18h day of May, 2019.
