Proc. 2012-48 Reverend Debra Brown Day 06-03-12 PROCLAMATION NO. 2012-48 WHEREAS Senior Pastor Elder Debra Moton Brown has become an active and very special part of Grace United Methodist Church and the local community in her time with us; and WHEREAS Pastor Brown has been involved with HISD's Student Health Advisory Committee, the Huntsville NAACP executive board,Impact Huntsville, and the Board of Directors for the Wesley Foundation at SHSU; and WHEREAS at Grace United Methodist Church,Pastor Brown was the founder of the tutoring and mentoring ministry Grace Academy, which was formed in collaboration with the Community of Praise Ministry,and participated in Prayer on the Square, in addition to leading the church; and WHEREAS we all find saying goodbye to Pastor Brown to be very bittersweet, we wish her the very best in her new position. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED,by the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that: JUNE 3, 2012 be declared: Reverend Debra Brown Day in the City of Huntsville and urge all citizens to thank and congratulate this treasured member of our community.
