WHEREAS, prior to February 18, 1914, the City Coun- oil of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by proper means, author- ized the closing and abandoning of the street theretofore existing between Block No. 39 and Block No. 41..(soaetiaea theretofore known as Houeton,Street) in the City of Huntsville Texas, and for a valuable consideration paid to said City of Huntsville, authorised the deeding of the property formerly in such street to Huntsville Cotton Oil Company; and pursuant thereto, a deed was executed, acknowledged and delivered by the duly authorised offioer of the said City to Huntsville Oil ©off; ►ieh deed is dated February 1 ill s'eeords of the sa eluding its ordinances, passed and adopted in the year, 1914 and in prier years,have been destroyed by fire, and it is the wish and desire of the present owner of the said land and of the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that the City, by its official reoords, show the closing and abandoning of the said street and the sale by the City of sueh property; THAT the ashon of the City of HUntsyi'l.le, in + ].wing and a ►cloning the said street forisrly existing between Block No. 39 and Blook No. 42 , in the City of Huntsville, Texas, prior to Febrrary 18, 1914 (sometime prior to said date referred to as Houston, Street), be in every manger ratified and een- firmed, and that suoh street is hereby olosed and permanently abandoned as a street and thoroughfare for trsflo .* kinds and for all purposes; and THAT, the action of the City of Huntsville, Texas, by and through its then Mayor T. C.
