AN ORDINANCE REPEALING NUMBERED SECTION 3-A-3,
PROHIBITING THE POSSESSION OR CONSUMPTION OF ANY
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ON ANY REAL ESTATE MAINTAINED
OR OPERATED BY THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AS
A PARK OR RECREATIONAL AREA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville,
Texas, has determined and here finds that it is no longer feasible
to prohibit the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages
within city parks and recreational areas on land and/or premises
owned or operated by the City of Huntsville, Texas, as a park or
recreation area.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Huntsville, Texas, that Section 3-A-3 of Chapter 3 A of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby
repealed and of no further force and effect.
