ORD CC 05/25/76 - Departmental StructureORDINANCE NO. 76-7 ORDINANCE REORGANIZING THE CITY'S INTERNAL DEPARTMENTAL STRUCTURE AS SPECIFIED BY SECTION 8.03 OF THE CITY CHARTER. WHEREAS the City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the City and is held responsible for the efficient delivery of services to the public and in accordance with Section 8.03 and 8.05 of the Charter, may cause to be created such administrative departments suitable for the execution and delivery of those services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council that the following departments are hereby created by this Ordinance: Department of Public Services Divisions: Sanitation Parks and Recreation Library Department of Organizational Support Divisions: Finance Personnel and Purchasing Warehouse Garage Department of Community Development Divisions: Engineering Streets Grants Planning Construction Inspection Department of Public Safety Divisions: Police Fire Building Inspection Health Department of Public Utilities Divisions: Water Sewer Customer Service First reading held on the llth day of May, 1976.
