ORD CC 05/11/76 - Violation PenaltiesORDINANCE NO. 76 -6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, BY PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF ANY OF THEIROVISIONS OF SECTION 10 A- 12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, WHICH VIOLATION PARAGRAPH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS SECTION 10 A -12 (b), AND BY RENUMBERING THE PRESENT PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 10 A -12 AS SECTION 10 A -12 (a). BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that Chapter 10 A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by adding the following additional paragraph to be known as penalty paragraph to Section 10 A -12 to be as follows: Section 10 A -12 Mechanical Code, adopted. (b) Any person violating the provisions of the Mechanical Code adopted by this Section shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a Class C Misdemeanor, and shall be punished as provided in Section 1 -A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas. BE IT FURTHER ORDIANED that the present paragraphs of Section 10 A -12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, shall be designated as Sub - paragraph (a) of Section 10 A -12. Ordinance--New Section--"Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Mechanical Refrigeration adds a new section to be entitled Chapter 7A, requiring licenses to engage in the business of installing heating, air-conditioning, and mechanical refrigeration equipment; prescribing types of licenses; requiring license holders to be bonded; providing for license fees; prescribing qualifications for applicants; prescribing termination dates or licenses; making licenses non-transferable; providing for suspension and revocation of licenses; excepting homeowners from the provisions of the ordinance; providing that violations of the ordinance are misdemeanors and any person violating the same shall be punishable by a fine of not exceeding $200.00 upon conviction; providing that the provisions of the ordinance shall not repeal any portion of the existing code 02-23-71 2. Ordinance--Adopts 1973 Edition of Standard Mechanical Code with 1975 Revisions repeals section 10 A-12 and adopts for use in the City the 1973 Edition of the Standard Mechanical Code together with the 1975 revisions thereof, ‘t, designating the within ordinance as Section 10 A-12 and the sections and subsections of the Standard Mechanical Code to be inserted in Section 10 A-12 as numbered in said Standard Mechanical Code, and providing an effective date 12-16-75 Ordinance--Provides Penalty for Violation of Mechanical Code provides for a penalty for violation of any of the provisions of Section 10 A-12 of the Code of Ordinances to the City which violation paragraph shall be designated as Section 10 A-12 (b) and renumbering the present paragraph of Section 10 A-12 as section TO A-12 (a) 05-11-76 4. Ordinance--Amends Fee Schedule adopts contents of Mr. J. A. Payne's memo dated May 24, 1977 wherein suggested fees schedule changes are presented.
