AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER , dated June 8, 1971,
and called The Industrial Wastes Ordinance of the City of Huntsville
by amending Section 17-58(c) of such Ordinance as Codified in
Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville by
revision of the formtlla and conditions of surcharge for discharge
of industrial waste, and providing for an effective date:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
THAT Ordinance Number , dated June 8, 1971, and called the
Indust'rial Wastes Ordinance of the City of Huntsville, is hereby
amended by changing and revising Section 17-58(c) of said Ordinance
as Codified in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville,
said revised Section 17-58(c) to read as follows:
Section 17-58. Industrial Waste surcharges.
(c) The discharger of the wastes by acceptance of a permit
shall be liable for a surcharge over and above the
existing sewer rates with the basis for surcharge on
industrial wastes to be computed in the following
manner:
ISS = V [0.085 (BOD-250) + 0.056 (SS-300)]
ISS - Industrial waste surcharge in dollars
V - Volume discharged in thousand gallons
BOD - Five day at 20° C BOD of the industrial waste
(mg/1)
SS - Suspended solids of the industrial waste (g/1)
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, that the within ordiance shall be effective from and
after the passage. hereof.
