AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, SECTION 12-56 (c), OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, BY CHANGING
THE AMOUNT OF PAYMENT FOR PARKING SPACE WITHIN SAID CITY PARKING
METER ZONE, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL PARAGRAPH ESTABLISHING THE
FINE FOR FAILURE TO PAY PARKING FEES WITHIN 24 HOURS AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT CHAPTER 12, SECTION 12-56 (c), OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE IS HEREBY AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
Section 12-56 (c) is amended to provide that the parking fee
for parking at a metered space beyond the period of time fixed
for which payment has been'made by deposit of a-coin or coins
in a parking meter, within 24 hours, shall be a charge of 50
for each hour or fractional part thereof any such vehicle shall
remain parked overtime.
Any person, firm or corporation who fails to pay the parking fees
as provided herein within the time specified, shall, upon conviction,
be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than $2.50
nor more than $200.00 for each such conviction..
SECTION 2:
The within ordinance shall be effective from and after
1973.
