ORD CC 06/26/73 - DogsAN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 4, OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, BY DELETING CERTAIN
PROVISIONS THEREFROM, AND BY ADDING NEW PROVISIONS TO
mimic 4-30.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT:
Article II, Chapter 4, of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended so that
Section 4-30 shall hereafter read as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 4-30 is hereby amended by deleting the
first sentence of said section and substituting therefor the
following:
Immediately upon any dog being placed in the city
pound, in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this
article, the chief of police shall post, or cause to be posted,
near the entrance to the city hall a notice describing said
dog and stating the date it was impounded and the date, time
and place that it will be sold, which date of sale shall be
not less than three (3) days after posting such notice for sale
of dogs not wearing a tag as hereinabove provided, and not less
than five (5) days after posting such notice for sale of dogs
wearing a tag as hereinabove provided.
