The City Council of the City convened ina�A MEETING ON THE tTH DAY OF NOVEMBER,2016,at the City Hall(the Meeting ),and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers and members of the City, to-wit: Andy Brauninger, Mayor Paul Davidhizar- Position 1 at Large Joe Emmett—Ward 1 Lydia Montgomery—Position 2 at large Tish Humphrey - Ward 2 Don H. Whereupon, among other business, the following was trhAactedjt the Meeting: a written ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF BOND ELECTION was duly introduced for the consideration of the City Council. It was then duly moved and seconded that the Ordinance be passed; and,after due discussion, said motion carrying with it the passage of the Ordinance, prevailed and carried by the following vote: AYES: 5 NOES: 2. A true,full and correct copy of the Ordinance passed at the Meeting described in the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; that the Ordinance has been duly recorded in the City Council's minutes of the Meeting; that the above and foregoing paragraph is a true, full and correct excerpt from the City Council's minutes of the Meeting pertaining to the passage of the Ordinance; that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are the duly chosen, qualified and acting officers and members of the City Council as indicated therein; that each of the officers and members of the City Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally, in advance, of the time, place and purpose of the Meeting,and that the Ordinance would be introduced and considered for passage at the Meeting,and each of the officers and members consented, in advance, to the holding of the Meeting for such purpose, and that the Meeting was open to the public and public notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code. 3. The Mayor of the City has approved and hereby approves the Ordinance; that the Mayor and the City Secretary of the City have duly signed the Ordinance; and that the Mayor and the City Secretary of the City hereby declare that their signing of this Certificate shall constitute the signing of the attached and following copy of the Ordinance for all purposes. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,TEXAS: 1. The City Council officially finds and determines that the election was duly ordered, that proper notice of the election was duly given,that proper election officers were duly appointed prior to the election, that the election was duly held, that the City has complied with the Federal Voting Rights Act and the Texas Election Code, that due returns of the result of the election have been made and delivered,and that the City Council has duly canvassed the returns,all in accordance with law and the ordinance calling the election. 2. The City Council officially finds and determines that the following votes were cast at the election on the submitted PROPOSITIONS by the resident,qualified electors of said City,who voted at said election. The City Council officially finds,determines and declares the result of the election to be that Proposition I, 0') and 3 so submitted received an affirmative vote and were approved by the voters at the election. 4. The aforesaid bonds described in Proposition ,I ander,which were approved by the voters at the election, may be issued, and the taxes for such bonds in Proposition No. 1 and Proposition No. 2 may be levied,assessed and collected annually,as voted and as provided by law, and the revenues for such bonds in Proposition No. 3 may be pledged.
