Town Creek closures on Avenue N • A Word From the
Wynne
The City of Huntsville's Town Creek Drainage . Between the Pages
Project Phase II is adding a work area on Avenue • City Connection
N between 10th and 11th Streets. The closure is • General City News
scheduled to begin Monday, November 7, 2016 • This Week in
and continue until February 2017. Huntsville
This portion of the work will be constructed during
the daytime, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Drivers
are urged to plan alternate routes and provide
adequate time to reach their destinations in light
of the changes in traffic patterns. Attached is a
detour map for the road closures, this map will
also be available on the City's social media pages
and available to download at http://tx-
huntsville.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/7740.
Work is continuing at the 10th Street intersection
between Avenue N and Avenue O and is
scheduled to be closed through the end of the
year. A detour map for that area is available at
http://tx-
huntsville.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/7705.
In November 2015, the City entered into a
contract with Garney Construction to provide
Construction Manager at Risk services. Phase
included the work done on the SHSU intramural
fields and Bearkat Boulevard and is in the final
stages of completion.
Garney Construction vows to give its best efforts
to construct this project with as little impact as
possible to the City of Huntsville and its citizens.
