Center
will be
rolling out a new discount card for guests who are
visiting the Statue and Visitor Center from outside
Huntsville zip codes. Various local businesses
have joined forces to offer a 10% discount to out-
of-town travelers. Several local antique stores,
restaurants, hotels and museums are offering this
discount for those who stop in at the statue to pick
up a card. Some of the businesses participating
are the Holiday Inn Express, 1836 Steakhouse,
the Prison Museum and many more.
The cards are free for guest who check in at the
statue and sign in with an out-of-town zip code
and are headed into town. Also included on the
back of the card is a QR code which will allow
guest with a smart phone to scan the card and it
will bring up a list of all participating local
attractions. You can also find a list of participants
at huntsvilletexas.com under the about Huntsville
tab.
"The goal of these discount cards are to invite
travelers to take time after stopping at the Statue
to explore more of Huntsville and see what all we
have to offer," said Kimm Thomas, Tourism and
Cultural Services Director for the City of
Huntsville.
