This Week in aHuntsville Huntsville is requesting that citizens minimize unnecessary outdoor water usage for the next week. The City's major source of water is the TRA Plant. This plant receives water from the Trinity River via a 30-inch pipeline and treats it prior to delivery to the City. Due to the recent heavy rainfall, the 30" raw water line has a leak where it crosses Nelson creek. This leak is on the raw water line to the plant, not the line coming to Huntsville. Repairs are underway, however they are going to take several days to complete. The City is now relying on water from our wells which do not produce as much water as the TRA plant. If you have any questions or concerns call Joyce Hubbard, Water Superintendent at 936-294-5700.
