continued rising costs associated with the
acceptance of credit, debit, and/or gift cards for
payment, City Council adopted the card use fee
on May 3, 2016. Payments made with any such
cards will be charged a fee equal to 2.5% of the
amount of the payment, effective immediately.
The fee will apply to payments made in person, on
the website, by phone and by automatic draft. The
fee will apply to card payments for any City
service, including, but not limited to, those made
at Utility Billing, Municipal Court, the Service
Center, Huntsville Public Library, Huntsville Police
Department, and any online services or draft
accounts.
