The 6th Annual Art Contest Unveiling Ceremony
The Friends of the Library and the Huntsville Public Library hosted an unveiling ceremony
for the 6th Annual Art Contest on Saturday, March 19th in the Children's Room.
Children's Director Rachel McPhail said the contest was a success for all participants.
" We want to thank all of the children for participating," McPhail said. It takes quite a bit of
courage to not only express oneself through art, but to share the art with the community. I am
very excited to have the opportunity to display wonderful, new art in the Children's Library
each year."
And the winners in the 5 to 7 year old category are 1st place David Diaz, 2nd place Ava
Gomez, 3rd place Mahalia Aniceto, and 4th place Sam Rains; in the 8 to 10 year old category
are 1st place Anelysse Looney, 2nd place Summer Philpitt, 3rd place Celeste Smith and 4th
place Haddassah DeDominicis; in the 11 to 13 year old category are 1st place Eli Jones, 2nd
place Kylie Stanley, 3rd place Laila Diaz, and 4th place Morgan Castro; and in the 14 to 18 year
old category are 1st place Karina Beaty, 2nd place Theophilus Young, and 3rd place Abigail
Beaty.
