Herb Festival in its 8th year

The Texas Thyme Unit of the Herb Society
Between the Pages
of America will host its eighth annual Herb
City Connection
Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday,

March 30. The free event will be held on the
Library
grounds of the historic Wynne Home Arts
This Week in
Center, 1428 Eleventh St., and will be open
Huntsville
to visitors.
The festival features a very large selection
of locally grown herbs, perennials, bulbs,
butterfly and hummingbird plants,
vegetables and native plants for sale. Local artists and craftsmen and a variety of
herbal and garden vendors will also be selling their products. Strolling musicians, the
Raven Dulcimer Society, and the Huntsville High School Swingin’ Stingers Jazz Band
will add a festive atmosphere to the day.
There will be talks on Herbs for Pollinators and The Secrets of Great Pesto.
The Texas Thyme Unit is a chapter of The Herb Society of America. It is 501(c)3 non
profit dedicated to the promotion of knowledge in the use and delight of herbs.
Proceeds go toward maintenance of the herb gardens at the Wynne Home and
toward support of area herb garden projects.
