RESOLUTION NO. 2011-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
CREATING A NATURAL PRESERVATION COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS CONCERNS
ABOUT TREES IN THE CITY.
WHEREAS trees and other natural elements are vital to the beauty of Huntsville; and
WHEREAS the recent drought the City has experienced has created a need to address the continued
health of its trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
SECTION 1: The Mayor will create a Natural Preservation Ad Hoc Committee to specifically address the
City Council's concern about trees in Huntsville.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and City Council strongly support this measure to safeguard the natural beauty
of Huntsville.
SECTION 5: The City Council will consider an Ordinance officially forming the board at a future meeting.
