January Events at the Huntsville Public Library
The Huntsville Public Library will be closed on Friday, January 1 for the New Year's holiday, and will
reopen on Saturday, January 2 at 12:00 p.m. The library will also be closed on Monday, January 18 in
celebration of Martin Luther King Day, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 19.
Mother Goose Lapsit is designed for parents and infants aged birth to 24 months. The program features
songs, toys, and stories on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Dates for this program in January are:

Lego Club is an elementary-aged Lego building program held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month
from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Huntsville Public Library supplies the Legos and encourages participants
to build themed creations each session. The dates for Lego Club in January are:

The Huntsville Public Library continues its Beginner’s Level 1 Yoga on Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to
1:30 p.m. Registration is required. The dates in January for this event are:

Story Time is every Wednesday and Friday at 10:45 a.m. at the Huntsville Public Library. Parents and
their children are invited to enjoy songs, stories, and crafts with a new theme each session. Story Time is
sponsored by Amerigroup. The dates for Story Time in January are:

Family Movie Night will be held on Friday, January 8. The doors to the Community Room will open at
5:00 p.m. with the movie beginning promptly at 5:30 p.m. Family Movie Night is sponsored by the Texas
Children’s Health Plan Program. Complimentary drinks and popcorn are served and all viewers are
encouraged to bring a pillow or blanket.
The Huntsville Public Library will continue to host an Essential Oils Class for adults. January’s class will
occur on Monday, January 11, at 5:45 p.m.
Elementary through high school-aged students are invited to Wii Fridays to enjoy Wii video games. Wii
Friday will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The dates for this program in January are:
