HALL, LOCATED AT 1212 AVENUE M IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS AT 5:OOPM.
The Council met in a regular session with the following:
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mac Woodward, James Fitch, Lydia Montgomery, Don H. Johnson, Keith D. Olson, Joe Emmett, Tish Humphrey,
Ronald Allen, Clyde Loll

SPECIAL SESSION [5:OOPM]
1. CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Woodward called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
2. INVOCATION AND PLEDGES
U.S. Flag
Texas Flag: Honor the Texas Flag. I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state, under God, one, and indivisible.
Councilmember Montgomery gave the invocation.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
Dr. Richard Watkins spoke in favor of Mr. Baine, saying he'd seen more progress under his administration than ever in
his life. He said he hoped and prayed the Council would make a decision based on his track record.
Rev. Debra Brown spoke regarding City Council leadership. She said people needed to know that their Council
members care about every aspect of their lives and that there was no time to fight over petty disagreements.
4. EXECUTIVE SESSION
a. City Council will convene in closed session as authorized by Texas Government Code, Chapter 551,
Section 551.074 — personnel matters to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation,
reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of the City Manager. [Councilmember Allen]
Mayor Woodward called the Council into Executive Session at 5:09 p.m.
He stated that the Council would first convene in closed session as authorized by Texas Government Code,
Chapter 551, Section 551.071 to consult with legal counsel.
5. RECONVENE
a. Take action, if necessary, on items addressed during Executive Session.
Mayor Woodward reconvened the meetina at 6:15 p.m.
Mayor Woodward adjourned the Council meeting for 30 minutes, to reconvene at 6:45 p.m.

6. CALL TO ORDER
Manor Woodward reconvened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Woodward said the Council had concluded their Executive Session and asked for a motion.
Councilmember Allen made a motion to accept City Manager Baine's resignation and to authorize all related
documents. Councilmember Fitch seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
7. MEDIA INQUIRIES RELATED TO MATTERS ON THE AGENDA - There were no media inquiries.
8. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST - There were no items of community interest.
9. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Woodward adiourned the meetina at 7:01 p.m.
