City of Huntsville City Hall Complex, 1212 Avenue M, Huntsville, Texas, 77320 Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and may need auxiliary aids or services are requested to contact the City Secretary’s office (936.291.5413) two working days prior to the meeting for appropriate arrangements. Citizen Comments: State law provides that members of the public may speak before the City Council on an item of business. The speaking time is generally limited to three minutes per person, but may be reduced depending on the number of speakers. If you wish to speak, please complete a public comment card found at the entrance of the meeting room. City Council members are not obligated to respond to comments. Notice of Participation in this meeting via videoconference call: Notice is hereby given that at this meeting of the Huntsville City Council, no more than four members of the City Council may participate in this meeting from a remote location via videoconference call as allowed by Section 551.127, Texas Government Code. A quorum of the City Council will be present during this meeting in the Council Chambers of the Huntsville City Hall Complex, 1212 Avenue M, Huntsville, Texas, where citizens may attend the open session of this meeting as outlined in order to view the member(s) participating by videoconference call, as well as on the City's video stream on its social media site. MAIN SESSION (6:00 p.m.) CALL TO ORDER I would like to welcome everyone to this duly called meeting of the Huntsville City Council, being held on July 29, 2026 at 1212 Avenue M, Huntsville, Texas. I attest that this meeting room is open and accessible to members of the public. INVOCATION AND PLEDGES - U.S. Flag and Texas Flag: Honor the Texas Flag. I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state, under God, one, and indivisible. 1. EXECUTIVE SESSION a. City Council will convene in closed session as authorized by Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Section 551.071 for consultation with attorney to receive legal advice regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee: City Secretary Kristy Doll. City Council will convene in closed session as authorized by Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Section 551.074 - Personnel Matters: regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee: City Secretary Kristy Doll. 2. RECONVENE 2 Take action on item discussed in executive session, if needed. ADJOURNMENT *If during the course of the meeting and discussion of any items covered by this notice, City Council determines that a Closed or Executive session of the Council is required, then such closed meeting will be held as authorized by Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Section 551.071 – consultation with counsel on legal matters; 551.072 – deliberation regarding purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property; 551.073 – deliberation regarding a prospective gift; 551.074 – personnel matters regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee; 551.076 – implementation of security personnel or devices; 551.087 – deliberation regarding economic development negotiation; Sec. 551.089 - deliberation regarding security devices or security audits; and/or other matters as authorized under the Texas Government Code. If a Closed or Executive session is held in accordance with the Texas Government Code as set out above, the City Council will reconvene in Open Session to take action, if necessary, on the items addressed during Executive Session.
