AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 12, MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, OF
ITS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING ZONE
ALONG PORTIONS OF AVENUE H, GOODRICH STREET, AND NORMAL PARK
DRIVE; BY ESTABLISHING PARKING LIMIT ZONES ON PORTIONS OF SAM
HOUSTON AVENUE AND 11TH STREET; AND PROVIDING FOR A STOP SIGN AT
THE CORNER OF PINE HILL ROAD AT FM 1374; PROVIDING A PENALTY OF
UP TO $200 A DAY FOR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE PARKING ZONES; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
THAT:
Section 1: The following described curb zones and areas are designated as
No Parking Zones:
Street Name
Avenue H
Goodrich
Normal Park
Side of Street Limits
Both from llth Street to 250' North of
llth Street
Both from llth Street to Old Colony Road
Both from llth Street to Bois D'Arc
Section 2: The following described curb zones and areas are designated as
Parking Limit Zones:

Section 3: The following described curb zone and area is designated as a

Section 4: Schedule III, No Parking Zones; Schedule IV, Parking Limit
Zones, and Schedule VIII, Stop Intersections, of Chapter 12, Motor
Vehicles and Traffic, of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, shall be revised to reflect the amendments made
by this Ordinance.

Section 5: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause the
posting of proper signs along the above described streets and
parking zones.
Section 6: It shall be unlawful for driver of a vehicle to disobey the
instruction of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions
of this Ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a
Police Officer.
Section 7: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of
this Ordinance or failing to comply with any requirement of
this Ordinance will be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine
of up to two hundred ($200.00) dollars upon conviction. Each day
during or upon which said person shall violate or continue
violation of any provision of this Ordinance or non-compliance
with any requirement of this Ordinance shall constitute a distinct and
separate offense. The violation of any provision of this
Ordinance or the failure to comply with any requirement of this
Ordinance shall each constitute a distinct and separate offense.
Section 8: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct
and independent provision and such holding shall not affect any of
the remaining provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 9: All Ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed; provided,
however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such
inconsistency and in all other respects this Ordinance shall be
cumulative of other Ordinances regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this Ordinance.
Section 10: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10)
days from its passage by the City Council. The City Secretary
is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of
this Ordinance to be published in the official City newspaper at least
twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this Ordinance.
