AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT
WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY'S
AIRPORT, AND MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS AND FINDINGS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS the City has submitted an application for federal assistance for a
project for development of the Huntsville Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS the Federal Aviation Administration, acting for the United States of
America, has approved a project for development of the airport consisting of:
Construct new taxiway (820' x 30'); Construct new
access road (2100' x 28'); Install MITL on existing
parallel taxiway; Install REILS on runway 18 & 36;
Relocate NDB; and Acquire (fee simple title) Runway 18
clear zone land;
NOW THEREFORE,
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
Section 1: The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and its
City Manager to execute a grant agreement with the United States
of America for development of the Huntsville Municipal Airport
pursuant the terms of an offer dated September 22, 1988.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
adoption.
