AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, SETTING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR
TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN PROPERTIES BY THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS; AND MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that:
Section 1: On August 23rd and 30th, 1988, at 7:00 P.M., in the City Council
Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Huntsville, Texas, at
1212 Avenue M, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas,
will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard
at public hearings on the proposed annexation of the following
properties:
(See Exhibits attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes)
Section 2: The City of Huntsville, Texas, proposes to annex said tracts under
the procedures established by Chapter 43 of The Texas Local
Government Code.
Section 3: The City Secretary is authorized and directed to publish two
notices for the public hearings in the City's official newspaper,
each notice not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10 3
days prior to each hearing date (publish August 12th and 19th,
43.052).
Section 4: The City Secretary is authorized and directed to provide
additional notice by certified mail to railroad companies serving
the City and on the City's tax roll where the right -of -way thereof
is included in the territory proposed to be annexed. 043.052).
Section 5: The City Manager and the City's Planning Department are authorized
and directed to prepare a service plan that provides for the
extension of municipal services into each area proposed to be
annexed. The proposed service plan shall be made available for
public inspection.

Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage.
