April 2015 Events
Preschool Story Time Easter Egg Hunt
The story time theme for April 1st will be "Easter." We will have a short story time followed by an
Easter Egg hunt in the park behind City Hall, weather permitting. Please bring a basket for your

Delightful Doodlers
Delightful Doodlers is a new craft program for toddlers and preschoolers which meets every Monday
at 11:00 a.m. for a fun craft and play time in the Children's Room. The dates for April are April 6th,
April 13th, April 20th, and April 27th
Preschool Story Time
The Huntsville Public Library hosts Story Hour every Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. This program promotes
emergent reading skills for young children, including stories, songs, dance, and finger plays and concluding
with a craft activity. The theme for April 8th will be "Weather," with activities focused on Spring Weather.

Krafty Kids
Krafty Kids is a new craft program for elementary students ages 5-12. This group meets every Friday in the
Children's Room at 4:00 p.m. Children have a great time creating art projects in a variety of mediums. The
April dates are April 101h, April 171h, and April 24th.
Family Movie Night Series
Huntsville Public Library in partnership with Texas Children's Health Plan is offering a free monthly
family night movie. All movies are rated PG or G. (Beginning in April, Family Movie Night will be on
Fridays.) April's Family Movie night will be Friday, April 10th at 5:30. Complimentary popcorn and

Lego Club
The Lego Club is one of the library's most popular new programs for children ages 5-12. This club
meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 5:00 p.m. in the Children's Room. At Lego Club,
children are given time for free play, group play, and a lesson that includes a bit of Lego history and
instructions for the creation of the day.
Lego Club member Patrick says, "I love the Lego Club! I wish we could have it every day!" All
materials are provided. At this time registration is not required but is highly recommended. Please

Who Let the Dogs Out?...at the library!
The Huntsville Public Library will host the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, sponsored
by Huntsville Pets Helping People, on Monday afternoon, April 20th, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. The R.E.A.D
program improves children's reading skills by employing the powerful method of reading to a registered
therapy dog in a relaxed, safe, non-judgmental environment. This program is held the 3rd Monday of each
month, and registration is recommended. If your child would like the opportunity to participate in this program,
