AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS RECORDS
MANAGEMENT OFFICER FOR THE CITY; AND MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS the Texas Local Government Records Law requires the City Council
to designate a Records Management Officer by June 1, 1990;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Chapter 2, Administration, of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the adoption of a new
Section 2 -47. Records Management Officer, that shall read as
follows:
Section 2 -47. Records Management Officer.
The City Manager shall be the Records Management Officer for the
City of Huntsville.
SECTION 2: This caption of this ordinance shall be made a part of the minutes
of the City of Huntsville.
SECTION 3: The City Manager is directed to submit his name, office, and
designation as Records Management Officer to the director and
librarian (executive and administrative officer) of the Texas
State Library and Archives Commission within thirty (30) days. A
copy of this ordinance should accompany that submission.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
