AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE BY PROVIDING THAT CITY EMPLOYEES MAY
RECEIVE THEIR LONGEVITY PAY IN ONE ANNUAL PAYMENT; AND
MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
that:
SECTION 1: Chapter 8, Section 9, Longevity Pay, of the Personnel Rules of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended to read:
Section 9. Longevity.
All full -time classified employees shall be entitled to receive, in addition to all other money
paid for services rendered in the City service, longevity pay of $4.00 per month for each
year of service in the City service. The employee will, at the time of employment, make
written election to receive the longevity pay monthly or in a lump sum payment added to
the first pay period in December. The employee may only change that election with each
subsequent year's cafeteria plan election; any payments withheld shall only be paid in
December or upon separation.

SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
