BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUITSVILLE, TEXAS.'
III COUNCIL ASSEM. BLED:
SECTION I.
That there is hereby levied, for the current year, 1931,
on all real property situated and all personal property owned within
the Limits of the said City of Huntsville, Texas, on the first day of
January of the current year, 1931, except so much as may be exempt
under the Constitution and Latins of this State or the United States, the
following taxes:
(1) �, n ad valorem tax of and at the rate of Twenty
($0.20) Cents on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars cash value thereof,
estimated in lawful currency of the United States, for the current
expenses for the support and maintenance of the City Government of said
City of Huntsville, Texas.
(2) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of Fifteen
00.15) Cents on the One Hundred 0100.00) Dollars cash value thereof,
estimated in laviful currency of the United States, for the support and
maintenance of the streets and bridges within and for the said City of
Huntsville, 'Texas.
�3) An ad valorem tax of and at the rate of One and
15/100 Dollars $1.15) on the One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars cash value
thereof, estimated in lawful currency of the United States, to pay
current interest on and provide one year's sinking fund and to pay all
of the principal and interest accruing on all outstanding sewerage
bonds, paving bonds, funding warrants, sewer extensions, improvement
warrants, City Hall and Fire Station Varrants, and any and all other
bonds and warrants outstanding, heretofore lawfully issued by the City
of Huntsville, Texas, and which are now valid outstanding obligations
of the said City of Huntsville, `1 eras.

lect the occupation taxes authorized under the general laws of the
State of Texas, and including the amendment of Article 7047 of the
Revised Statutes of 1925, passed by the Forty- Second Legislature, reg-
ular session, by Chapter 212 of the general laws passed by the Forty -
Second Legislature at its regular session, page 355.
(6) inn annual tax of r'ive 05.00) Dollars on every
able bodied male person between the ages of Twenty -one (21) and Forty-

five (45) years, subject to the payment of a street tax, as provided
by law and the Ordinances of the said City of Huntsville, Texas.
(7) A poll tax of One (1) Dollar on every inhabitant
of the said City of Huntsville, Texas, over the are of Twenty -one (21)
years and not over Sixty (60) years of age, on the first day of
J,nu ary, 1931.
SECTION II.
The above and foregoing ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
The foregoing ordinance was referred to the Finance
Comittee in o en Council at the regular meeting of the City Council
held on the Ii day of September, 1931,

commend that the said foregoing Ordinance, levying taxes for the
year 1931, be adopted.
