:6E IT ORDAIY&D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF HUNT SVI LLE , IN
COUNCIL ASSEIE313D, A'-; FOLLOWS:
JHEREAS, by an ordinance duly adopted and entered of
record on the 6th day of April, 1928, the City Council of the
City of Huntsville awarded the contract for the paving of eleventh
Street f-ori its intersection -. ith Avenue 0 vilest to its intersect bn
:ith State Highway No.32, and the paving of Highway Tio.32 from
its intersection Frith Eleventh Street Northwest to the City
Limits, to tre Tibbetts Constructior_ Company, and said ordinance
Further provided that the City Engineer be authorized and
directed to prepare and have executed proper contract and bond
for s:u d pavement, in accordance with the plans and specifications
therefor and in accordance with the bid of the said Tibbetts
'Construction Corlpany, and that --aid contract and bond, when executed
by the said Tibbetts: Construction Company, should 'be referred to
the City Council for its acceptance and approval; and,
4HEREAS, the said contract and bond have been duly
prepared and executed by the Tibbett-z Construction Company, the
bond being e < >ecuted by _ /�(�f o �a� � Surety Company, as
surety, and it appearing upon e:amination that said contract and
bond are in all respects in accordance with the plans and �:pecifi-
cations and the bild aforesaid, and that the same are in compliance
with the law and should be adopted:

CITY OF 11UN'TSVIL12, on this 25th day of April, 1928, at an
adjourned meeting of tiaid Council, whereat two- thirds of all the
members were present, being rjore than a quorum, that the said
contract and bond of Tib':)etts Construction Company be and the same
is hereby approved, and the Llayor is hereby instructed "Co endorse
on said contract and bond his a;_)proval, and the City Secretary is
instructed to file the same �sr�, and that said
contract and bond be recorded in the Minutes of this Council.
'he fact that the paving of said streets is important
,and it is necessary that the -cork begin at the earliest possible
date create an emergency and an imperative public necessity that the
rule requiring ordinances to lie over until the next meeting
be suspended and that this ordinance take effect from and after
its passage.
,This ordinance having been referred to the Cor.�ittee
on �11ti(�(,tt Qi(��s� , was referred 'back to the Council -rith
the recoriendation that the :ame be adopted. Thereupon this
ordinance was duly ado-, ted by unanimous vote and approved in
open council, this 2-&th day of April, 1528.
