ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF JHUHTSVILLE ON THE NORTH BOUNDAMLLIVE
THE HEOF,
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City Council
Huntsville in council assembled:
That it having been made to appear that the following
persons, to-wit, C. B. Birmingham,,J.17-Cabiness , Jake Houston,
I'd T _. A. ' .1 # o9d and 'Willie Council
are inhabitants of the territory hereinafter described and
constitute a majority of the qualified voters for members of
the Legislature residing in said territory adjoining the limits
of the City of Huntsville, and that said territory does not
extend one-half mile in width, and that said persons so con-
stituting a majority of the qualified voters residing in said
district have voted to accept the provisions of Ilitle 22 of the
Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas and to become a
part of the city of Huntsville by having the corporate limits
of said City extended to include the territory hereinafter
described.
And it further being mde to appear that three of said
persons, qualified voters residing in said district have rade
affidavit to the effect that the majority of the qualified
voters residing in said district have voted to accept the
provisions of Title 22 of the Revised Civil Statutes of the
State of Texas, and have voted to become a part of the said
City of Huntsville by having the corporate limits of the said
city extended to include said territory.
It is therefore ordained by the City Council of the
City of Huntsville that the territory hereinafter described
shall be and the same is hereby annexed to and rude a part of
the City of Huntsville, and the corporate limits of the said
City of Huntsville shall be and the same are hereby extended so

as to includo the territory hereinafter described.
It is further ordained that from and after the taking
effect of this ordinance, the territory hereinafter described
shall be a part of the City of Huntsville. and the inhabitants
thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of
otbPr of tizons and shall be bcnind by the acts and ordinances
made in conformity thereto and passed in pursuance to Title 22
of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texan.
That tho territory described in the petition siMs ed by
the said C. B. Birmingham and four other persons constituting
a sue, j ority of the qualified voters residing in said district
is bounded and described in Exh.ibut A to said petition and here
now described as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and
`being; situated in the County of Walker and State of Texas, out
of and a part of the P. �ira.y league adjacent to and immediately
North of the North line of the present City limits, and having
motes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the N E corner of the corporate limits where
was found an iron stake near the east edge of 7.00dlawn Avenue,
from which an elm about 0-0 in dia mkd T bra sd 17 -1/4 E 70 -3/10
feet, a sweat gLLm stunp about 20 in dia bra S 74 Vr 50 -8/10 feet;
Thence Forth passing throug h or under a house now owned
