REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF FUNDS On or about September 10th 2013, the City of Huntsville will submit a request to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the release of HOME Reservation System Program Contract # 2012-0060 funds under Title II of the Cranston Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, as amended, to undertake a project known as Huntsville HOME Reservation Program for the purpose of rehabilitation/reconstruction of up to twenty (20) sub -standard, owner -occupied properties throughout Huntsville. Rehabilitation/reconstruction activities are planned to begin upon funding notification. The exact breakdown of the budget is unknown at this time since this is a Reservation System and is based on first come, first serve until funds are exhausted. If funds are available, approximately $1,700,000.00 will be spent on the rehabilitation/reconstruction of up to twenty (20) homes (max $85,000 per home). This project is following a tiering plan, and funds will not be committed to a specific activity until after the site-specific review is complete. FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT The City of Huntsville has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the human environment. Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required. Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) on file at Dr. Sherry McKibben's office in City Hall (1212 Avenue M Huntsville, Texas 77340) and may be examined or copied weekdays ( 8 ) A.M. to ( 5 ) P.M.
