The City received five (5) grants under the SRTS program varying in size from $153,995 to $340,780. The secured SRTS Program funds are for the design and construction of sidewalks, bike / pedestrian paths and install bicycle lanes in the vicinity of four (4) schools in the City of Huntsville. The project will be administered in accordance with SRTS Program Guidelines. The project shall meet all relevant Federal and State laws and requirements including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all applicable Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) specifications and construction details. The estimated construction cost for all projects is approximately $1.14 million.
