The City of Huntsville Information Technology Department will be making upgrades to the City's online payment
Web site in early October. As a result, residents are advised to plan around temporary closures of Municipal Court
and Utility Billing online bill payment pages.
According to Brent Slott, IT Systems Analyst, the two main components of the City's online payment
site, https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/huntsvilletx, will be addressed one at a time, and access will be
limited for approximately 24 hours during each upgrade.
"From October 7 at 4 p.m. through October 8 at 5 p.m., we will close the Municipal Court's online bill payment
system for maintenance," Slott said. "The following week, we will close the Utility Billing page from October 15 at 4
p.m. through October 16 at 5 p.m.

"During this time, customers will still be able to make payments both in person and by phone, and services will be
fully restored following the maintenance periods."
According to Susan McGilberry, Court Administrator, customers who have payments due on the affected dates will
be given a two-day extension of their due date.
Jerri Weaver, Revenue Manager with the Utility Billing Department, said customers will be able to make payments
in person by means other than credit or debit cards — i.e. with cash, check or money order - while the site is being
updated.
Weaver said the dates for the closure do not include due dates or penalty dates and therefore will not have an
impact on fees or penalties.
