WHEREAS James T. “Jim” Hackett became President and Chief Executive Officer of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in December of 2003; and
WHEREAS Today, Anadarko Exploration Corporation is recognized as one of the world’s largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies with operations in the United
States, Algeria, Brazil, China, Qatar, and Trinidad; and
WHEREAS “Jim” has been recognized by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System by being appointed to the Board of Directors of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District; and
WHEREAS Recently, “Jim” was further recognized for his leadership skills by being appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System to be the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District; and
WHEREAS “Jim” is active on a number of corporate and civic boards that provide for the betterment of his city, state, and nation; and
WHEREAS It is a great honor to welcome “Jim” to our community as guest speaker for the College of Business Administration’s Executive-In-Residence Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that
