PROCLAMATION NO. 2005-25
WHEREAS Sebastian Osueke is a humanistic educator, a distinguished scholar, an excellent public servant and a supreme administrator with a multicultural background and multidisciplinary
education; and
WHEREAS He derives satisfaction from teaching, counseling, exploring and understanding new concepts, perceiving new patterns of though, discovering new truths and goodness, and pursuing
excellence in academic achievement; and
WHEREAS In the goal of attaining academic excellence, he attended University of South Dakota, Texas Southern University, Houston Community College, and the American Humanist Institute;
and
WHEREAS His work experience includes Texas Southern University, Houston Community College, and Lee College – Huntsville Center; and
WHEREAS Sebastian has been involved in a wide range of community involvement including being a case worker for the Child Support Division Office of the Attorney General in Houston, an
election officer for the Presidential primary election and the Houston city council election; and has been involved with Jerry’s Kids Fundraiser, Special Olympics and the Southwestern
Social Science Association; and
WHEREAS For Sebastian, the intellectual excitement of teaching, the interaction with students, and the stimulating dialogues with faculty members resonate meaningful employment and dignified
life; and
WHEREAS We congratulate Sebastian on his ability to motivate and inspire his students in their studies of American Government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:

in Huntsville, Texas, and congratulate him on being recognized as an outstanding Educator of American Government.
