WHEREAS members of the 302nd Military Police Company have placed aside personal priorities to perform dedicated service to the United States of America; and
WHEREAS the service of the 302nd MP Company has been executed in such a professional manner that it has brought recognition as a superior unit from the United States Army; and
WHEREAS this highly trained company was alerted in December 2002, deployed to Fort Hood, Texas in January 2003, and shipped to Kuwait in March 2003; and
WHEREAS during this period of service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Kuwait and Iraq the 302nd M.P Company served with distinction in various combat operations; and
WHEREAS the 302nd Military Police Company will have served the cause of freedom continuously for 14 months, gratefully with no combat losses; and
WHEREAS on this day the citizens of Huntsville rejoice in the safe return of the brave and dedicated soldiers of the 302nd Military Police Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Huntsville that:

in the City of Huntsville.
