I� CALL TO ORDER [2:00 p.m.]
Mayor Turner called the special session to order.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
The City Council will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, for the following matter:
a) Termination Appeal of Stephanie Johnson;
b) Deliberations on the Termination Appeal of Stephanie Johnson.
City Attorney Thomas Leeper stated that he had received a telephone call from Mr. Cantrell stating that he and his client
would not be at the hearing. He offered several options to City Council including:
1. continue deliberations on information presented to date;
2. request City Attorney to continue with case;
3. dismiss appeal for failure to prosecute.
Councilmember Evans made a motion to dismiss the case for failure to prosecute and Councilmember Woodward
' F seconded the motion The motion passed unanimously.
Councilmember Choate made a finding that notice was afforded to the employee (Stephanie Johnson) and notice was
posted in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act and Councilmember Smith seconded the finding The finding
passed unanimously.
