(R.E.A.D.) program sponsored by the Huntsville Pets Helping People group on Monday
afternoon, April 21st from 4:00-5:30 PM. The R.E.A.D program improves children's

relaxed, safe, non-judgmental environment. This program will continue every 3rd Monday
of the month. Registration is recommended. If your child would like the opportunity to
participate in this program, please call the Library at 936-291-5472 or visit the library

Dia de los Ninos/ Dia de los Libros Celebration
Join the Huntsville Public Library as it celebrates, for the first time, a day for books
and children on Saturday April 26th at 1:00 PM. This relatively new holiday sweeping
across the nation is a day to honor two of our community's greatest resources: children
and books. Inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Ninos, this festival welcomes all
children and families and seeks to expand cultural boundaries within communities and
literature. Sponsored by the Huntsville Public Library Friends, this program is free and
open to all ages. A special literacy based performance will energize the audience and
free books will be distributed to all children in attendance. For more information, call
the library at 936-261-5472, visit the library website at www.myhuntsvilielibrary.com, or
follow us on Facebook.
