Story Hour at the Library
The Huntsville Public Library hosts Story Hour every Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at the
library. This complimentary program promotes emergent reading skills for young

(R.E.A.D.) program sponsored by the Huntsville Pets Helping People group on Monday

relaxed, safe, non-judgmental environment. This program will continue every 3 Monday

Dia de los Ninos/ Dia de los Libros Celebration
Join the Huntsville Public Library as it celebrates, for the first time, a day for books and

children on . This relatively new holiday sweeping
across the nation is a day to honor two of our community’s greatest resources: children
and books. Inspired by the Mexican holiday Dia de los Ninos, this festival welcomes all
children and families and seeks to expand cultural boundaries within communities and
literature. Sponsored by the Huntsville Public Library Friends, this program is free and
open to all ages. A special literacy based performance will energize the audience and
free books will be distributed to all children in attendance. For more information, call the
