City Council Ward 4 representative Joe Rodriquez will host a Town Hall meeting on April 9 to provide residents
an opportunity to gain information on City projects in the area.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Elkins Lake Clubhouse, located at 632 Cherry Hills, and all Huntsville
residents are welcome to attend.
According to City Manager Matt Benoit, several staff members will also be present to provide information and
answer questions.
“During the Strategic Planning process, the Council expressed interest in establishing quarterly town hall
meetings as a method of citizen outreach,” he said. “At the meeting, staff members including [Director of
Public Works] Carol Reed and [Huntsville Police Department Chief] Kevin Lunsford will be present to address
several upcoming City projects.”
Currently, the projects to be discussed during the meeting include:
(1)Rehabilitation of the lift station at the Elkins Lake Post Office;
(2)Replacement of the Elkins Lake dam generator;
(3)East Mosley Lane reconstruction project; and
(4)Installation of traffic calming devices on River Oaks Drive.
