Proclamation No. 2023-17
WHEREAS, Preston Hensarling has earned the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America Organization, Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, Preston is one of only 4% of the Boy Scouts that achieve the highest rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, Preston set a personal goal of earning the rank of Eagle Scout before his 15th birthday when he joined scouting 4 years ago. He achieved his goal and will celebrate his 15th
birthday on June 10, 2023, the day of his Eagle Scout ceremony; and
WHEREAS, Preston just completed his freshman year of high school with straight A’s and plans to continue scouting; and
WHEREAS, Preston exemplifies the values that make a community strong. The City of Huntsville is proud of Preston; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
DO HEREBY CONGRATULATE AND PROCLAIM JUNE 10, 2023, as
PRESTON HENSARLING DAY
