The Council met in a special session with the following members present:
COUNCILMEMBERS: J. Turner, Jack Choate, Mickey S. Evans, Melissa Mahaffey, Jim Willett, Mac Woodward, and Dale
Zander
OFFICERS: Stephanie Brim, City Secretary; and Thomas A. Leeper, City Attorney
ABSENT: Wayne Barrett and Clarence Griffin
SPECIAL SESSION
CALL TO ORDER [5:05pm]
Mayor Turner called the meeting to order.
Councilmember Evans seconded the motion. The motion passed 7 -0.
RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION [5:10pm]
The City Council conducted a closed session under Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.074 - personnel matters rec
' the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, ordismissal of a public officer or employee,
termination appeal of Michael Kasel.
RECONVENE TO CONSIDER THE DETERMINATION OF THE APPEAL HEARING [7:24pm]
City Council reconvened into open session following deliberations. Councilmember Choate moved to make a findii
there was not sufficient evidence to reverse staffs decision to terminate based on lust case: and Councilmember
seconded the motion. The motion passed 6 -1 with Councilmember Mahaffey voting against.

Mayor Turner adjourned the meeting.
