Proclamation No. 2022-28
WHEREAS, May 27th of 1977, Mr. Don E. Yates Jr graduated from Huntsville High School; and
WHEREAS, Donny hired on with what was then Entex on August 24, 1983, and has performed meter reading & service work for his entire 39.5 year career; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career, all of his supervisors have used words like, Dependable, Accurate, Productive and Professional to describe Donny; and
WHEREAS, he has removed 18 meters per month, which equals 216 per year and totals 8,532 in his 39.5 years of service; and
WHEREAS, he has worked 14 leaks per month, which equals 168 per year and totals 6,636 in his 39.5 years of service; and
WHEREAS, he has worked 32 meter sets per month, which equals 384 per year and totals 15,168 in his 39.5 years of service; and
WHEREAS, he has worked 86 collections per month, which equals 1,032 per year and totals 40,764 in his 39.5 years of service; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
on behalf of the entire City Council, do hereby proclaim
NOVEMBER 30, 2022, as
DON E. YATES, JR. DAY
And urge the employees of CenterPoint Energy to take pride in the accomplishments of this HARD WORKING, DEPENDABLE, ACCURATE, PRODUCTIVE AND PROFESSIONAL employee.
