A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE 2013 EMERGENCY MANAAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT
(EMPG) FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION OF EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT AS THE CITY'S EXECUTIVE
OFFICER AND AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE CITY'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE 2013 EMPG.
WHEREAS The City desires to ensure the safety of all it citizens and; The City of Huntsville
requires the Emergency Management Coordinator to facilitate all aspects of
emergency management for the City; and
WHEREAS It is necessary and in the best interest of the City to accept the funding under the
2013 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG).
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
SECTION 1: The City Council directs and designates the City Manager, as the City's Chief
Executive Officer and Authorized Representative to act in all matters in connection
with the City's participation in the 2013 Emergency Management Performance
Grant (EMPG).
