ORD 2013-35 - Amending Ch 44 Traffic ORDINANCE NO. 2013-35
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
AMENDING CHAPTER 44, TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES, OF ITS CODE OF
ORDINANCES BY PLACING "2-HOUR LIMIT MON-FRI" SIGNS ON UNIVERSITY
AVENUE BETWEEN 141h and 15`h STREETS; AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,TEXAS,THAT:
Section 1: The following described limited parking zone(2-Hour Limit Mon-Fri) shall be ratified by
the amendments shown below:
Street Between
University Avenue 14'h Street and 15'"Street
Section 2: The City Manager is authorized and directed to cause the placement of proper signs along
the above described streets.
Section 3: It shall be unlawful for driver of a vehicle to disobey the instruction of the signs placed in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance unless at the time otherwise directed by
a Police Officer.
Section 4: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any
reason held invalid or unconstitutional, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct
and independent provision and such holding shall not affect any of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 5: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance
are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of
such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other
ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 6: This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council. The
City Secretary shall publish the caption of this ordinance in the official City newspaper at
least twice within ten (10)days of its passage.
