MINUTES OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 21ST DAY OF JANUARY, 1984 IN THE CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, LOCATED AT 1212 AVENUE M IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS AT 8:00 P.M.
The Council met in regular session with the following members present:
William V. Nash, Mayor
Murray A. Brown
Larry Corley
Stephen E. Davis

Percy Howard, Jr.
Jane Monday
Bob Tavenner
The meeting was called to order by the Honorable William V. Nash, Mayor. The invocation was also presented
by the Mayor, William V. Nash.
RECEIVE AND CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE CITY'S BOND ELECTION HELD ON THIS DATE
Mayor Nash then opened his returns envelopes from the City Bond election for each of the eight polling
precincts and passed them to each of the Councilmembers for checking and reviewing. After an appropriate
review and clarification of the numbers. the Council was satisfied that all was in order.
CONSIDER A RESOLUTION
Consider Resolution No. 84 -3 accepting the results of the Bond Election
Mayor Nash then presented this Resolution, the caption of which is as follows:

RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION
Mayor Nash noted this election includes the votes of 1,115 voters of the City, who cameout to cast their ballots
city -wide. He noted the following results:

After this review and check was completed, the vote was then taken to adopt Resolution No. 84 -3. Council-
:, member Dowling made the motion to approve of this Resolution and Councilmember Monday seconded the motion. All
were in favor and the motion passed unanimously.
MAYOR'S REPORT -- William V. Nash
Mayor Nash expressed his appreciation to all of those citizens who did support the propositions. He noted
to those citizens who did vote and the election did not go their way, he noted he certainly respects their posi-
tion. He noted he hopes he can learn more about that position and understand it.
